Sidey shortlisted for the Commercial/Retail Project of the Year 2015
Diversification across Trade Sector
The much anticipated Consumer Protection Association survey which asked
over 12,000 installers a series of questions on their business
performance and expectations for the industry has been released and
indicates that there is a growing demand from consumers for high-end
quality products. These include items such as bi-folding doors, vertical
sliders and coloured profile.
The report which was conducted by Insight Data highlights a current
change in the Trade Market sector, with installers seeking premium
products that offer unique selling opportunities which satisfy this
current consumer demand.
A growing popularity amongst homeowners for conservatory replacement
products is also on the rise, and all signs are pointing to the
conservatory repair/replacement market being particularly lucrative in
the coming years.
Sean Allan, Sidey’s Business Development Manager Manager commented –

Many Trade window and door suppliers are trying to react to the current
change and tackle new markets which may result in Trade installers being
supplied with a ‘quick fix’ product. In our 80 year history Sidey has
always had a dedication to quality and innovation which has led to us
being a trusted supplier for trade professionals. We are in a position
to supply our trade customers with the products and service that will
ensure the diversification that consumers are looking for is easily
