PAS 2030:2012 Green Deal Approved UK Installer In accordance with the requirements of PAS 2030:2014 and assessed in line with the requirements of PAS 2031:2015 level, ensuring the quality of both our products and our installation methods. The universal standard places emphasis not only on the efficient surveying and installation of our windows and doors, but also on design, staff training, property care, compliance with building regulations, material quality and inspection.

Green Deal Logo

Reg. No. KM 510500 For the Survey & Installation of windows and external doorsets including energy efficient glazing & doors incorporating the Competent Person Scheme for replacement windows & doors. Domestic & Non-Domestic.

The Green Deal Quality Mark is the new industry standard for accredited installers. It is trademarked by the secretary of state for Energy and Climate change. Allows access to Energy Company Obligation (ECO) funding to reduce the installation costs of critical home improvements for specific customer groups.

This demonstrates Sidey's compliance with the scheme's guidelines, and highlights our skill and expertise within the energy saving measures we provide to our customers and reassures our customers that our work is of the highest quality and that our installations are safe.

BS 7412/PAS 24 is the British Standard product specification for the fabrication of PVCu Windows. Security and manufacturing process tests are included, as well as subjecting the windows to high velocity air and water jets to test weather proofing. (BS7950 has been incorporated into this)

BS 7412/PAS 24 is the enhanced security performance requirements for door assemblies. They are subjected to manual intervention, mechanical loading and hard and soft body impact tests. All approved doors include all the Secured by Design standards. (PAS 23 has been incorporated into this).

Energy Saving Kitemark Image

Energy Saving Kitemark is the BSI Kitemark scheme for Window Energy Rating (WER), based on the approved document L1B of the Building Regulations which came into force in October 2010. This stipulates that all replacement windows must have a Window Energy Rating (WER) of at least band C or a declared U value of 1.6 W/m2K. In order to comply with the installation requirements for replacement windows fabricators must provide evidence of energy efficiency. The Kitemark scheme for Window Energy Rating provides a quality assured process and supporting audit trail from simulation of the WER through to installation and is therefore accepted by Building Control Bodies.

BS 8529/PAS 24 is a general performance requirement for composite door assemblies. They are subjected to a series of 18 tests including wind and water tightness, hard and soft body and a cycle test. All approved doors include all the Secured by Design standards.

Secure By Design Image

Secured by Design is a Police initiative that encourages the building industry to adopt crime prevention measures to assist in reducing the opportunity for crime. It is the title for a family of national police projects involving the design for new homes, refurbished homes, commercial premises, car parks and other police crime prevention projects. Through this initiative our Casement, Tilt & Turn, fully Reversible, Fixed, Multilight Fixed or opening Windows, as well as our PVCu Residential, GRP Composite and Timber Doorsets, have passed stringent standards tests that meet "Police Preferred Specification".

STA Accredited Members Standard is a Quality Mark from the Structural Timber Association. The Members Standard offers a benchmark for suppliers, manufacturers, designers and erectors that provides sufficient confidence in their companies and products for them to be specified in the UK.

CHAS Accredited Contractor. Sidey Ltd is accredited within the contractors health & safety scheme (CHAS) having demonstrated compliance with and sound management of current health & safety legislation.

NHBC Safemark Image

NHBC Safemark Scheme. Sidey successfully demonstrated the required level of competence and is accredited to the NHBC Health & Safety competence Assessment Scheme (Safemark) for contractors.

LHC Image

LHC Appointed Company. LHC is a Provider of Public Sector Framework Arrangements. It sets up procurement framework arrangements for LHC members and any other public sector organisation wishing to improve efficiency without compromising on quality.

SFHA Image

SFHA Associate Member. The SFHA is the national representative body for Scotland's housing associations and co-operatives.

CE Image

CE Marking. The CE marking or formerly EC mark, is a mandatory conformity marking for products sold in the European Economic Area (EEA) since 1993. The CE marking is the manufacturer's declaration that the product meets the requirements of the applicable EC directives.

Existing in its present form since 1993, the CE marking indicates the compliance with EU legislation of a product, wherever in the world manufactured, and enables its free movement within the European market. By affixing the CE marking on a product, a manufacturer is declaring, at its sole responsibility, conformity with all of the legal requirements to achieve CE marking which allows free movement and sale of the product throughout the European Economic Area. CE marking is intended for national market surveillance and enforcement authorities.

The Construction Product Regulations(EU) No305/2011(CPR) – The Construction Product Regulations 2011 – officially became a legal requirement on the 1st of July 2013 requiring all door-windows products manufactured from that date to carry a CE marking label relating directly to the product/product family. The CE marking label and Declaration of Performance will carry specific information pertaining to the legal requirements of CE marking for the product(s).

It is the manufacturer's (Sidey) responsibility to carry out the conformity assessment, to set up the technical file, and to issue the declaration of conformity-performance and above all to affix the CE marking to a product. Documentation is available here
