The core focus of the Passivhaus Standard is to dramatically reduce the requirement for space heating and cooling, whilst also creating excellent indoor comfort levels. This is primarily achieved by adopting a fabric first approach to the design, specifying high levels of insulation to the thermal envelope with exceptional levels of airtightness and the use of whole house mechanical ventilation.
The Passivhaus Institute continues to monitor the dwellings with the measured energy consumption for heating remaining less than 10 kWh/m2. Since 1991, the savings in comparison with traditional buildings are more than 90%.
Sidey Solartherm® and SolarthermPlus® range and unique KitFix® System allows you to not only meet but exceed the standards of Passivhaus. Our product range provides an innovative resolution to the conflicting demands for thermal efficiency and constrained budgets.
